Art, Judging

Husband and I went to the Stutz Building last night for the eXcel Awards "judging".  We'd been invited for pre-selecting artwork for this competition 2 years ago (none of us could remember last night why Chuck and I didn't show up last year).  There were fewer pieces than in 2006, but the quality of some of this stuff is incredible.  All High School Kids!!!  Some of them need just a tad bit of encouragement, and some need therapy.  Some pieces were obvious cursory attempts (I've got to turn something in for a grade-type things) and some I want to buy.  Some of the stuff was stunning.  And then some kids need therapy.

Afterwards, at Bazbeaux for Muffaletta and other eats, Husband, Pam (Ms. Farm Bureau, instigator of the eXcel invites) ran into Erica E. and L Train.  Erica will be joining us for Bowling this evening.  Which reminds me, I must go pack my Chatterbox Bowling Shirt.
