Redesign for Local Paper

The Indy Star has re-done it's website.  And.  It.   Takes.  A.  Reeeeaaallly.  Long.  Time.  To.   Load.

But it shore nuff is spiffy onec't ya get there!

Things aren't tested enough these days before they are unleashed upon the unsuspecting.

Take, for example,   (Please, PLEASE take it) the Worlds Best System at work.  I found a nifty thing yesterday.  I have a box that says "Specialty" for choosing a physician's specialty.  Y'know, things like Internal Medicine, Neurology, Gastroenterology.   That kinda thing.  Here is the place where I am able to choose the type of doc that has requested a review.

I found lots of things.

I did not find Obstetrics and Gynecology.  OBGYN.  

Not there.  I called over a compatriot and had her look while I looked. No such luck with the OBGYN finding.

I DID find, however, Emergency-Undersea and Hyperbaric.  Preventive-Undersea and Hyperbaric.  I found "Bus" and "Train" (?!).  My favorite, tho, and the one I chose (just to make me feel better) Preventive Medicine-Aerospace Medicine.  No OBGYN, but I do have the option to pick Preventive Medicine-Aeorspace Medicine!!!!

Did I inform the muckety-mucks?  Why, yes, Yes I did.  And I was told I didn't have to fill in that field.  Which COMPLETELY IGNORES the fact that I am working on a Medical system that doesn't give me the option to pick an OBGYN.  It simply isn't there.

My fears are confirmed.

The programmers of this system are Aliens.  No concept of parentage or reproduction.
